ACTIVITIES:
5:30 am - 7:15 am
- As is customary, all first-, second-, and third-semester students congregated in Surau Al Taqwa to worship in the morning. We then proceed to the meeting place that has been decided upon for each semester. For instance, before entering the farm for roll call, the second semester will congregate with the PE in front of the farm workshop. Concurrently, student attendance was also recorded. After that, "Syahmi" from MT Sport helped us warm up.
7:20 am - 8:10 am
- From there, we continued our journey to the farm. My group, which was scheduled to be present during today's roll call, also led us in reciting the first ten verses and the last ten verses of Surah "Al Khafi". Next, we read the prayers "Qunut Nazilah," "Dhuha," and "Rabitah." After that, we performed the songs "Negaraku," "Wawasan Setia," and "Planters Song," under the direction of PKG and MT from semester 2. Next, Mr. Zahid then delivered some briefings. This includes reminders about validating the validation course, issues that worry him, such as bullying and mental health, and advice from "Imam Syafi'e'. He went over the six suggestions, starting with the first one: only speak positive things; avoid using foul language. Secondly, hide oneself so that no one else is aware of your private. Thirdly, show respect for those who are older than you. Say hello to the speaker, for instance, when you first meet him or her. Fourth, avoid ripple. Fifth, reject items that could compromise our morals, and last, avoid hanging out with prickly people. He gave me and everyone else a very good briefing and many lessons before concluding the presentation. After that, we split up and got together with the lecturer to adhere to the guidelines for our upcoming task.
DOA RABITAH
PART 2 PRESENTATION
IMPORTANT INFORMATION BY LECTURER
8:10 am - 8:30 am
- Puan Farhamiza then went on to discuss how seeds germinate, beginning with imbibition, which is the process by which the seeds draw water from the earth. In order to give the seed access to more water, this causes root growth. Subsequently, shoots emerge and extend upwards toward the sun. Leaves appear after the shoot touches the ground, enabling the plant to absorb solar energy. This lasts for three to sixteen weeks and starts as soon as the root system is able to support growth.
08:30 am - 09:45 am
- After that, Pn. Farhamiza gave class B instructions to went the rubber plantation in order to gather rubber seeds for seed treatment. We went at the nursery plot after bringing some rubber seeds. We placed the rubber seeds in a bucket with water and two grams of fungicide after arriving at the nursery plot. The rubber seeds were then added to the mixture and stirred again. Subsequently, Pn. Farhamiza instructed us to take the polybag that was constructed the previous week and use it as a location for the germination of rubber seeds. Peat Moss was also included to the polybag. Lecture cautioned us against using our hands to pick up the rubber seeds in the bucket since they have been contaminated with acid and could be harmful to the students. Instead, we should use rubber hand gloves or another alternative. Pn. Farhamiza then instructed us to label the polybags.
LABELING
09:45 am - 10:00 am
- Following seed handling and treatment, Pn. farhamiza told us to take a break. Along with cleaning and washing the used tools, we return them to their rightful locations before having a break. Water to drink was provided to all second semester students by MT Food, also known as "Qhifli," throughout the vacation.
- When we arrived at the lemon plot after break, we did as Dr. Silvakumar had instructed. He demonstrated for us how to weed round with a hoe. It was an extremely hot day, So, Class C initiated the circle weeding practice first, followed by Class B.
10:30 am - 12:00 pm
- After that, it was our class's turn to do circle weeding. Each of us was given 1 plot. For example, one person will do circle weeding on a lemon plot. We did as Dr Silvakumar instructed as soon as we arrived at the lemon plot. We did not give up until the end of the field that day. We make sure the hoes are cleaned thoroughly before storing them.
