ACTIVITIES:
5:30 am - 7:15 am
- At the surau, all first-, second-, and third-semester students congregate to offer morning prayers. Next, proceed to the designated meeting locations for each semester. For instance, the second semester will congregate in front of the farm workshop with PE before going into the farm for roll call. Following the student' attendance, we warm up with assistance from "Syahmi" from MT Sport.
SURAU AL-TAQWA
7:20 am - 8:30 am
- We carried on toward the farm after that. Before the roll call, we read the first ten and last ten verses of Surah Al Khafi. We then say the prayers "Qunut Nazilah," "Dhuha," and "Rabitah." Then we sang "Negaraku," "Wawasan Setia," and "Planting Songs," directed by KG, SM, and PKG for semester 3. Subsequently, students in their third semester presented their finished work from the previous week. Next, each semester begins this week's activities based on the schedules of their individual lecturers.
DOA RABITAH
PART 3 PRESENTATION
8:30 am - 10:00 am
- The lecturer then gave the order for everyone in the second semester to move to plot nursery. We bring polybags, mini tools, and hoes that will be utilized in the nursery. Dr. Maizatul Idayu gave instructions on how to prepare the planting media when we arrived at the nursery. He described how any kind of soil had to be mixed in the following proportions: two parts loam, one part organic matter, and one part river sand. Dr. claims that this mixing ratio was initially recommended by John Innes. Since we are still students, we utilize a ratio of three loam soil, one organic soil, and two sand. After combining the soil mixture, we place it inside a polybag.
10:00 am - 10:30 am
-The lecturer told us to rest once we had added all of the soil medium. Additionally, MT Food, which is "Qhifli," has given us with drinking water.
- After we brake, we got to the plot cocoa, we followed Dr. Silvakumar's directions. He showed us how to use a hoe to do circular weeding. Given the intense heat of the day, Dr. Silvakumar instructed his pupils to alternately enter the lemongrass patch. "If you're tired, switch," he suggested. The circle weeding exercise was initiated first in our class. Class C comes in second.
11:25 am - 12:00 pm
-Following the intermission, each of us was assigned a plot. For instance, my class will do activities at lemon plot. We did as Dr Silvakumar instructed once we arrived at the lemon plot. He demonstrated to us how to weed the circle with a hoe. Dr. Silvakumar instructed his students to enter the lemon plot in shifts due to the intense heat of the day. We began activity in circle weeding together. This is because, for various reasons, some students from neither semester 2 nor my class visited the farm. For instance, they are required to participate in "SUFPA" events such as the prize-giving and closing ceremonies. We didn't give up till the end of the field that day. We make sure to give the hoes a thorough cleaning before putting them in store.
